What are dentures?
Dentures are replacements for missing teeth that you can wear and remove whenever you wish.
They are two main types of dentures: full dentures and partial dentures. As the name suggests, full dentures completely cover the gums and replace all the teeth. Partial dentures cover a few missing teeth.
At Cotteswold House Dental Care, we custom make your dentures based on your measurements so you can enjoy a secure and comfortable fit. If you want a rock-solid set of dentures, we can secure them in your mouth with dental implants.
What happens when you are fitted for dentures?
Before your dentures are fitted, your dentist will explain what to expect, how to take care of your new dentures and whether you need any teeth removed. You should take any old photographs with you to this appointment to show how your natural teeth looked.
Then we will take an impression of your mouth to create dentures that fit you perfectly and you will be asked to choose the shape and colour of your new teeth. Finally, your dentures will be fitted and you will be given full aftercare advice.
