What are lip fillers?

Lip Fillers are a type of popular aesthetic treatment that can help you look and feel years younger. They contain a natural, injectable substance called hyaluronic acid (HA) that fills lines and wrinkles and adds volume to areas such as your lips or cheeks.

What to expect during your lip filler treatment

When you visit our practice for your lip filler treatment, you will be taken care of by Matthew Smith, our aesthetic practitioner and qualified practitioner.

He will discuss your medical history with you, have a chat with you about your desired results and understand whether lip fillers are right for you.

If you decide to have treatment, Matthew may apply an anaesthetic cream to help numb your skin. Then he will take a very fine needle and gently inject your dermal fillers. This might feel uncomfortable but should not feel painful.

After treatment, you may feel sore or slightly swollen, but this will settle down in just a few days.

How long do lip fillers last?
Lip fillers usually last between 6 and 18 months. Any untreated areas of your face will continue to age as normal.
Do lip fillers ruin your lips?
Provided you seek treatment with an experienced professional, your lips won’t be ruined by fillers. This only happens if they over inject or use a different kind of filler that can damage your lips.
Are the results immediate?
Yes, you will see an increase in volume immediately after treatment, as well as some bruising and swelling. This will reduce after a few days.
How do I take care of my lips after treatment?
Avoid touching your tips for 48 hours after treatment and avoid exercise for a few days to ensure the filler remains in your lips. You should also avoid using any harsh products shortly after treatment.
I attend Cotteswold House for my dental treatment and noticed that they do Facial Aesthetics.

I booked in to see Lynsey as I was interested in lip fillers.

I saw Lynsey for a free consultation, and she talked me through the treatment and what to expect, so I booked in straight away to have it done.

I am absolutely over the moon with the results, I only had a small amount, but it has made a big difference to me.

I will be certainly going back for more.

Thank you Lynsey.
