What are dental bridges?
A dental bridge is a false tooth that has been anchored to crowns or dental implants on either side. This helps you to replace your missing teeth and achieve a natural-looking smile.
They’re an excellent option when:
- You are missing no more than three teeth in a row
- You prefer a less invasive procedure
- Dental implants are unsuitable for you
- Are looking for a faster alternative to dental implants
At Cotteswold House Dental Care, we use bridges to replace two or more missing teeth and our clients are delighted with the results.
What is the procedure for dental bridges?
You will need two appointments for your dental bridges. During the first, your dentist will conduct a thorough examination and explain what options are available. They will then prepare your teeth for the bridge by taking an impression and adjusting the fit. You will also be fitted with a temporary bridge so you can continue eating and drinking as normal.
At the second appointment, your dentist will fit your bridge and ensure that you are 100% happy, making any adjustments as required. They will then permanently fit the bridge in place and explain how to take care of your new dental bridge.
