Intravenous Sedation
- Do not eat or drink anything for 4 hours before your appointment, unless advised otherwise.
- Do take any prescribed medication as normal.
- Arrange for a responsible adult to drive you home after your appointment and stay with the rest of the day.
- Wear flat shoes and garments with loose fitting sleeves.
- Do not wear nail varnish.
- For 24 hours after your sedation appointment
DO NOT:
- Drive a motor vehicle or operate machinery.
- Attempt any tasks in the kitchen.
- Take alcohol.
- Take sedative drugs without medical advice
- Make important decisions or sign any documents
