After Crown or Bridge Work
Teeth involved in crown of bridge preparation will have had a significant amount of drilling. They may therefore be uncomfortable for 2 to 3 days. Please take painkillers (Paracetamol, Ibuprofen) if necessary.
Temporary crowns or bridges will have been placed over the prepared teeth:
- These are softer than the permanent crowns/ bridges and cemented with easily removed paste.
- Care should be taken when eating to avoid dislodging the temporary cover.
- Avoid food with staining ability such as curries as these can discolour the temporary cover.
- If the temporary cover comes loose, please contact the practice, as it can be recemented.
