Dental care for the disabled patient
We treat many disabled patients and welcome those with disabilities to Cotteswold House. We have 3 ground floor surgeries, a fully accessible ground floor toilet and a step free entrance to the practice. Cars can be brought to the practice entrance.
Being aware that disabilities can place restrictions on both patient and dentist, we try to work within these limits to make your visit as comfortable as possible. We are able to provide as much time as you need for successful treatment, as we are not constrained by any outside limitations to our patient care.
Many disabled patients are concerned about having to lie flat for dental treatment. We will endeavour to work in a position that is comfortable for you. It is possible for some treatments to be undertaken with the patient upright or in a wheelchair.
For patients with more demanding disabilities that can make treatment at Cotteswold House inadvisable, we can arrange a referral to a specialist treatment centre.
Housebound Patients can be offered a Domiciliary Visit. Please see our Fees page for the current charge for this service. This is in addition to any treatment costs.
