After qualifying in 1977 at Liverpool University, Stephen joined Cotteswold House in 1981.

Stephen has developed a special interest in aesthetic/cosmetic dental treatments as well as the major restoration of badly damaged mouths. He is able to provide treatment that involves implants for patients with missing teeth and for full denture wearers. He also treats snorers with the “Sleepwell” system. Stephen and senior nurse Dawn have worked together as a team within the practice for over 20 years.

Enjoying all aspects of dentistry, he undertook a wide postgraduate training obtaining further qualifications from Bristol University and the Royal College of Surgeons. He became the first dentist in Gloucester to obtain the prestigious MGDS from the Royal College and among the first dentists in the country to be awarded the Fellowship of the Faculty of General Dental Practice. His expertise has led to him being a Vocational Trainer and a tutor for Bristol University. He has also been an examiner and Board member for the Dental Faculty at the Royal College of Surgeons in London, including chairing the examiners for the Fellowship for 12 years.

Stephen is married with 2 children. The whole family enjoy travelling though Steve’s love of photography tends to dictate where they go. His photographs of the Forest of Dean have been published in a book, ‘The Royal Forest of Dean.’ He collects anything connected to the River Severn and keeps his hands active outside work by bookbinding. He is a season ticket holder at Kingsholm, where he is to be found shouting for the Cherry and Whites.
