Rachel Addison BDS
Rachel qualified at Bristol University in 1998. After spending 2 years working in a practice on Exmoor, she moved back to Bristol, where she worked for 8 years alongside David Ashcroft. When Neil Normington’s retirement created an opening at Cotteswold House, Rachel jumped at the opportunity. Not only was she able to work alongside David again but, through him, she had heard about the excellent reputation Cotteswold House Dental Practice has amongst patients and dentists.
Rachel enjoys all aspects of family dentistry, particularly endodontics (root treatments) with its challenge of saving severely damaged teeth. Having small children of her own, she finds treating children and gaining their confidence especially rewarding. A supportive husband allows her the time to undertake regular postgraduate courses to increase her already wide dental knowledge.
Rachel’s 2 small girls keep her very busy outside work but, when time permits, she particularly enjoys swimming and most racket sports. She watches most sports when she has the opportunity and, contrary to the rest of the practice, supports Harlequins rugby team and Manchester United.
