David Ashcroft BDS

Born in Warrington, Cheshire, David ventured south to study dentistry at Bristol University where he qualified in 1987. After a year’s vocational training, he spent the next 20 years in general dental practice, mainly in the Bristol area where he now lives.

During those years, he gained extensive experience in many areas of dentistry, supplementing this hands-on experience with attendance at many postgraduate courses. In this way, he has developed extensive expertise with family orientated care a priority. He especially enjoys cosmetic dentistry, endodontics and the treatment of nervous patients. A member of SAAD, David has training on the various techniques to help nervous patients through dental treatment.

David joined Cotteswold House in 2008, shortly before Neil Normington retired and sees many of Neil’s patients. Subsequently, he was very pleased to recommend that Rachel Addison join the team, as they had worked at the same practice in Bristol for 8 years.

 Outside dentistry, David enjoys golf, travelling and time at home with his wife and their cats. His overriding passion is Liverpool Football Club as you may see when entering his treatment room.
